New Glasses + Twin City Fashion
It’s been All About Designers. And We’ve Been Loving It.
It’s hard for us to believe over here at A Proper View, but the end of May will mark our seventh month since opening our doors to the Winston-Salem community. It’s been so much fun introducing ourselves and our fabulous glasses and sunglasses to everyone who has stopped in so far! We’re excited for what the future holds with bringing in even more designer eyeglasses to the shop in the coming months.
For now, though, we’ve been working hard to bring in exciting new pieces from our current eyewear collections. More specifically, we’ve added some gorgeous eyeglasses and sunglasses from Barton Perreira, Orgreen Optics and Article One. It’s been so exciting for us to see what each designer is bringing to the table in 2019. There are a lot of beautiful metal frames being introduced after acetate (or plastic) frames have had the lion’s share of the fun over the last several years.
In other news, our first trunk show was earlier this month and we had a blast! It’s always fun to bring in the entire collection from one of our eyewear designers, especially when it’s one as successful and unique as Orgreen Optics. Add in their wonderful rep Rob (plus some mimosas and doughnuts), and you have all the makings of a highly entertaining Saturday. And to see the countless looks on people’s faces when they realized how lightweight yet durable and breathtaking their Titanium collection is— priceless!
Speaking of breathtaking, we had a chance to be a part of the inaugural Twin City Fashion Week toward the end of April. I’ll tell you guys something: there are some very talented local designers hanging around here in Winston-Salem, along with local boutiques that are showcasing absolutely gorgeous clothes (and glasses! as rocked by the evening’s awesome emcee).
